Matt Krocheski

As the media world has continued to rapidly evolve, today's journalists need to be nimble and adaptable. My hands-on training in this environment has shaped me into the journalist I have become. And, I expect, as the pace of change continues to speed up, I too will change and develop new skills and new outlooks.

As a reporter, I have seen the need to be multi-faceted. I shoot, write and edit all my packages, and I have taken great pride in developing the skills necessary to tell each story and bring it to life.

I am equally enthusiastic about covering news and sports stories, and I enjoy jumping from one kind of story to the next. I have covered the swearing in of a city's new police chief and ran to the field to cover a high school football game.

On my website, you will find a selection of some of the stories I have covered over the year, as well as sportscasts I have produced. My focus is always on what matters to the community, the stories behind the news. I like going beyond the scores and the players' stats to seek out and examine the human interest stories that are inevitably there.
